Our founders and the original Chairperson, Jackie Reynolds
The Melting Pot is a (not for profit) social group of mixed nationalities who live permanently or part-time in the northern Haute-Vienne department of the Limousin region (now Nouvelle Aquitaine.)
We meet every Wednesday morning at the Ancienne Ecole, Darnac, (87320), for tea, coffee, biscuits & chat, except for the first Wednesday of the month when we meet in the evenings. The evening meetings take various forms such as Curry Nights, Beetle Drives, Bingo, Quiz Nights etc.
Our activities include petanque (Mondays throughout the summer from 1700hrs), Table tennis (Fridays from 1400hrs) and fortnightly arts and crafts sessions (Wednesdays immediately after the meetings). Members also enjoy group lunches at various restaurants throughout the region, in addition to visits to local events and attractions. There is a small annual membership fee in order to subsidise some of the club events.
The aim of the club is primarily to socialise. There is, however, an active exchange of information, advice and experiences relevant to living in France and integrating into the French way of life.
Why not use the form opposite to contact us for more information? Better still, come along to one of our coffee mornings (IT’S FREE) and see what a warm welcome you get, learn a little bit more about us and discover the benefits of being a member.
N.B. Because of the Coronavirus outbreak all events have been cancelled until Government restrictions on movements and gatherings have been lifted.
